Marie Courtin Éloquence 2019 - Bio
100% Chardonnay Dosage: Brut Nature Single Vineyard Champagne 50% vinified in wood and 50% in tank Antonio Galloni Vintage 2016 – 93P: The Eloquence is a powerful, deep wine. A richer side of Chardonnay is very much in evidence here. Orange peel, apricot, spice and honeyed overtones build in a sumptuous, vinous Champagne built on texture and breadth.  Peter Liem: While the Aube is thought of as producing rounder, fruitier wines than those of the Marne, the Éloquence is marked by a certain austerity, driven not only by the acidity of chardonnay but by a complex and distinctive soil signature. It's an intensely terroir-driven champagne, and at its best, it's one of the most exciting champagnes currently being made in the Aube.

Ullens - Domaine de Marzilly L.P.M MAGNUM
100% Meunier Aged in traditional 205 l barrels, made from regional oak Dosage: 2.2g/l The wines are neither fined nor filtered. The work is very manual and laborious, with a great sense of time and the needs of wine. The second coup of the highly gifted "newies" of Champagne. L.P.M refers to the area north-west of Reims, originally called "La Petit Montagne", in which their vineyards are located. Now that another area bears this name, it can no longer be written out on the label for Maximes and Anna's champagne and is therefore "encrypted". Giuseppe Lauria Editor-in-Chief WEINWISSER APR23: I enjoyed a good 1-hour adventure with this Blanc de Noirs. Because it changes in 10-minute intervals. Initially very restrained, it only reveals its facets with increasing airflow. After 30 to 40 minutes it really gets going: At the beginning only very delicate grapefruit notes, followed by yellow fruits like pear and a touch of marzipan, later bright and light red berries like raspberry join them, which skillfully blend into one with the distinctive sea breeze exciting piece of finesse to be captured in the finale by fine spices such as fennel. An elegant champagne with great evolution in the glass. 17.5+/20-2029 Lukas FEB23: On the nose raspberry, pear and ripe peach with hints of melon and grapefruit in the background. In the mouth juicy lemon and grapefruit, some pear and lemongrass, plus a present and crisp acidity that gives a lot of traction and makes for a great drinkability. A lot of potential for the future, a lot of fun in the glass and a joy to drink right now, but also a very capable food companion. Nicola JUL21: Incredible fragrance that draws you in, very beautiful, subtle honey note, very exciting soft-spicy beguiling, very own aroma, also again wonderful food companion, has something sweet (not sweet), something red-fruity, very light red cherry, red pepper, slight maturity.

Bertrand-Delespierre Enfant de la Montagne
45% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Meunier40% of reserve wines Dosage: 2g/l At least 3 years of bottle maturity The so called child of the mountain is a blend of the several crus from the Montagne de Reims. Partial malo-lactic fermentation on “vins de réserve”. Tilman FEB24 (Base 2022): Lean and fresh at first, reminiscent of ripe citrus fruits, the complex finish has a nutty spice. Vibrant and exciting. Moritz FEB24 (Base 2022): The slightly darker color already indicates maturity. Light spice, but fresh, zesty, and slightly yellow-fruited. On the palate, it's very dense and powerful. The perlage is very straightforward. The taste very much reflects the nose. The finish is very long, and a slight marzipan aftertaste remains. A very strong release! Nicola FEB24 (Base 2022): An extremely strong release, complex, spicy, with roast notes, body, herbal, exciting. Nicola & Moritz FEB24 (Base 2019): Leaner, more floral, more playful than the 22 Base, balanced, acidity well integrated. Lukas FEB23 (base vintage 2018): On the nose ripe notes, mainly apple and some fine cherry fruit. In the mouth full-bodied and juicy, mainly apple and red fruit (cherry) on the palate, nice balance between fruitiness and juicy freshness. Lukas FEB23 (base vintage 2017): On the nose riper notes, some yeasty notes and some red fruit, especially cherry. In the mouth juicy, backed by a fine acidity that provides a nice freshness in the background. Tasting Aug22 Moritz: On the Nose we have (over)ripe red apples and fresh green olives, which gives this champagne a nice balance between fruit and freshness. Taste: Fresh, lively, complex basic champagne with structure!

Vincent Bliard Les Fondamentaux - Bio
40% Pinot Noir, 30% Meunier, 30% Chardonnay Matured in wood for a year No fining, no filtration Minimal addition of sulphurDosage 2g/l With malolactic fermentation   Moritz Feb24: The nose emits a warm spice accompanied by dark berry fruits and a hint of red apple. On the palate, the champagne shows its backbone. The acidity is powerful yet does not lose its elegance. A fine spice and tart red apple also dominate the taste, indicative of a perfectly managed use of wood. The endlessly long finish leaves beautiful mature flavors on the palate. A great companion to food. Nicola FEB24: Very aromatic, rich in extract, herbal, minimal sherry aftertaste, biodynamic touch, a slightly wilder release than in previous years. Moritz OCT22: The Fondamenteaux forms the foundation of the Vincent Bliard winery. It was the first own cuvée from the first own vineyards planted by the great-grandparents and reflects the style of the house well. Fresh, spicy and with a skilful use of wood, the bar is set extremely high with this "entry-level" champagne.

Henriet-Bazin Cuvée Leonard Rosé Brut
50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir (from that 19% vinified as red wine) From two Grand Cru Terroirs: Verzenay und Verzy Dosage: 7g/l 3 years of bottle maturity Contains 30% reserve wines until 1968 Lukas NOV22: In the nose notes of apple-raspberry with some rosehip as well as hints of cherry and hay flowers, in the mouth apple-raspberry notes, in addition light grapey accents and some raspberry buttermilk, very animating, pleasant acidity and great drinkability. Perfect as an aperitif. Background Story from the winery: Marie-Noëlle likes that her Rosé is not a simple colored champagne but that it clearly marks the aromas of red fruits specific to Pinot Noir Grand Cru from Verzenay and Verzy. For this, she produces its red wine by harvesting the ripest grapes on a south-facing plot located at the bottom of the hills. The southern exposure brings a richness, breadth and body. But this excess of sun also pushes the vines to go underground to hydrate themselves. The accumulation of silt from the bottom of the hill covers the chalk to a great thickness, which deprives the vine of the minerality that Marie-Noëlle did not want for this cuvée. Blended at 19%, the red wine offers a champagne rich in fruity aromas. However, there was no question of making a sparkling red wine, so it was blended with 50% Chardonnay to bring elegance and freshness. But rather than drawing on the minerality of Chardonnay from Villers-Marmery, Marie-Noëlle went to look in these plots of Verzenay so that the chalk is not omnipresent and allows the fruit to express itself fully. The difficulty of this blend and the multiple recepied Marie-Noelle experienced before foinding the perfect blend she was looking for having made me think of the Codex of Leonardo da Vinci, So we decided to baptize the cuvée Léonard. It is therefore a Rosé Champagne that is both powerful and elegant, combining the richness of red fruits, the complexity of the blends and the elegance of our vinifications. Unlike his label companions, Leonard is not on a bicycle but he rides a motorcycle. A beautiful red-raspberry color Monet-Goyon from 1933 which is also in our tasting room. A motorcycle is a bicycle to which an engine has been added to give it power. And Rosé is Champagne to which we have blended red wine which brings all its power. So you understand why Leonardo is the only one on a motorcycle. The character is of strong build, and wears big boots and pretty leather gloves that connect him to authentic and strengh of the Pinot Noir, just like the rosé he represents. But it is no less smiling, attesting to the friendliness and elegance of our rosé.

Moritz OCT22: Ambitious cuvée with a lot of excitement and great drinking flow. The lean body and refreshing acidity are balanced by light citrus notes and a charming white fruitiness. With a little air, a certain coreness is added, which makes the champagne incredibly complex

Robert Moncuit Les Grands Blancs
100% Chardonnay From two Grand Cru terroirs: Le Mesnil, Oger Blend of two consecutive vintages 10 months aging in wood without battonage Unfiltered 2-3 years bottle aging Dosage: 0g/l Malo: Yes Great introduction to the Côte des Blancs! The Chardonnay grapes come from two Grand Cru terroirs: Le Mesnil and Oger. An ideal combination, according to the winemaker Pierre Amillet, because Le Mesnil is very firm and acidic, a little softer Ogre. Tasting: Very fine character; light biscuit and delicate smokiness on the nose, lively and wonderfully fresh on the palate.

Robert Moncuit Reserve Perpetuelle
100% Chardonnay Dosage: 3g/l Vinified in oak barrels With malolactic fermentation Robert Moncuit started the Réserve Perpétuelle, which is always replenished with wines from the new vintage, in 2006. This cuvée, which is created in a similar way to the Solera process, is also 100% Chardonnay from Le-Mesnil-sur-Oger. Malolactic fermentation is not stopped. Each year, about 40 percent is removed and bottled. The duration of yeast aging is about five years. The style is complex and elegant, very finely balanced with three grams of dosage. Brioche and lime blossoms, on the palate the Réserve Perpétuelle makes proper pressure, has mineral traction and a lot of charm. High level.

René Geoffroy Expression
35% Pinot Noir, 35% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay Dosage: 3-5g/l From vines around Cumieres and Hautvillers 50% Perpetuum Reserve Start in 1970 Without malolactic fermentation 3years bottle aging Nicola OKT23: Vinous, polished, pleasant, harmonious, round, a bit of chocolate, nice nutty finish Expression is a delightful introduction to Geoffroy's portfolio. Fermentation of the base vintage takes place in steel tanks, plus the blend includes up to 50% reserve wines. These come from a Réserve Perpétuelle started back in the 1970s by Jean-Baptiste's father. The grapes for Expression grow in vineyards around Cumières and Hautvillers. Thirty-five percent each of Pinot Noir and Meunier complement each other with 30 percent Chardonnay to create a fruit-intensive and complex Champagne. Five grams of dosage are perfectly incorporated, playing with the lively freshness that comes from not using malolactic fermentation. The juicy and vinous style makes the reserve wine portion noticeable. Yellow fruit, nut cake, ripe apples and plums characterize the aromatics, accented by the lively perlage. A great aperitif champagne. TASTING: Ripe and fragrant, with an expressive bouquet that releases beautiful aromas of apples, enhanced with notes of vanilla. On the palate, the attack is refined with a broad range of fruit and a beautifully fresh finish. Antonio Galloni Vintage NV – 88P: This is a tasty, easygoing effort to drink now and over the next handful of years. The Expression is neither terribly deep nor complex, but it offers plenty of immediacy. Plum, ginger, spice and dried flowers add layers of complexity.
