80% Meunier and 20% Chardonnay 50% reserve wines Dosage: 3g/l With this cuvée, presented for the first time in 2019, Maxime proves his enormous talent in champagne-making. Animating flavor, fine-pored mousse, full of pressure and creamy thanks to 50% reserve wine. Juicy and complex, intense in ferns and expression and yet extremely refreshing and drinkable! All Doamaine champagnes are matured in wood with the traditional measure of 205 liters. These are made especially for the two of them by a nearby barrel producer and provided with different toasting levels. One looks for the perfect harmony with the greatest possible respect for the natural processes in the vineyard and cellar and is already on the way to organic certification. Tilman FEB24: Juicy, powerful, spicy and still with great freshness. Very expressive and ever evolving in the glass. Lukas FEB23: In the nose strawberry, raspberry and blueberry and hints of melon. Very juicy in the mouth, the very nice acidity perfectly underpins the apple, raspberry and citrus flavors, with light notes of wafers on the finish. Very animating to drink with great draw. Tasting JUL21: Strong character, spicy grip, very coherent in itself, tells its own story, very long, very coherent, spicy finish. Intense and interesting, you almost wait until you take the next sip. A great food companion: baked apple, toasted bread, dried fig, dried apricots, beautiful perlage. Might go very well with liver pâté or similar.

Nicola OCT24: Super independent character, cool fruit, almost mentholated, quiet vinosity, crisp apple, something floral, very nice, could go well with oysters.Tilman OCT24: Restrained but ripe fruit flavours, herbaceous, playful, initially powerful, becomes leaner at the back, with a great chalky finish. Fabio OCT24: Brighter fruit, elegant, crisp acidity, very fresh and powerful, minty, very good. Nicola FEB24: On the palate there is a lot of structure and a fine red berry flavor that lingers for a long time in the grippy finish.

Half of the wine was aged in used barriques whose wood came from their own forest. The other half aged for eleven months in amphora. No malolactic fermentation, no fining, no filtration. The yeast aging on the bottle is at least 22 months. The name Causica derives from a subspecies of honeybee that has a special hairiness - similar to the leaves of Pinot Meunier. Causica smells invitingly of cookie and peach cream, with an exciting smoky undercurrent to everything. The palate shows plenty of structure as well as a fine red berry quality that lingers long on the grippy finish.

Now that another area bears this name, it can no longer be written out on the label for Maximes and Anna's champagne and is therefore "encrypted". Giuseppe Lauria Editor-in-Chief WEINWISSER APR23: I enjoyed a good 1-hour adventure with this Blanc de Noirs. Because it changes in 10-minute intervals. Initially very restrained, it only reveals its facets with increasing airflow. After 30 to 40 minutes it really gets going: At the beginning only very delicate grapefruit notes, followed by yellow fruits like pear and a touch of marzipan, later bright and light red berries like raspberry join them, which skillfully blend into one with the distinctive sea breeze exciting piece of finesse to be captured in the finale by fine spices such as fennel. A lot of potential for the future, a lot of fun in the glass and a joy to drink right now, but also a very capable food companion. Nicola JUL21: Incredible fragrance that draws you in, very beautiful, subtle honey note, very exciting soft-spicy beguiling, very own aroma, also again wonderful food companion, has something sweet (not sweet), something red-fruity, very light red cherry, red pepper, slight maturity.

Violet-cherry flavour, exciting, beguiling, but serious.Tilman MAR25: First relatively structured, then more aromatic, taut, but softer at the back, red fruity, has something of blackcurrant, earthy, chalky, develops well, enormous potential.

Tasting: citrus fruits, quince, vineyard peach, fennel, mint and liquorice. Taste explosion and good length in the mouth, subtle bitter note and a lot of minerality in the finish.

Straightforward, silky and taut wine. Long finish on the palate with plenty of minerality.
