Nicola FEB24: Wow, an outstanding release, taut with great maturity underneath, mineral, salty, slightly matured, superb. Moritz FEB24: Very profound nose. A harmony of: mint, lemongrass, salted lemon, grassy (green-spicy) notes. The palate is very balanced, with a very tight, gripping acidity. In the mouth juicy and full-bodied, with apple, pear and peach notes. The acidity integrates very nicely and makes for great drinking joy. Eric Rodez Cuvée de Crayères - Bio
60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay Dosage: 6g/l Blended with 12 diverse base wines from 4 vintages 45-50% Reserve wine (20-25% vinified in small barrel) Terroirs: Terroir d'Ambonnay: Les Bermonts, Le Moulin, Les cheminots, Les Grandes Ruelles, Le Noyer saint pys, les secs, Les Fournettes, La pierre aux larrons, Les agusons, Les Beurys.... Average age of the vines: 30 Years Vinification: 70% in enamel tank, 30% in old barrel, 75% with malolactic fermentation, matured for up to 7 years on the lees Domaine's entry level champagne, one that nonetheless displays a challenging complexity. Crisp & fruity (primarily apple) and nuanced. 60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay, Dosage 6g/l Nicola FEB24: Ultra strong, complex, slightly matured flavors but spot on, extremely long, multi-layered, also a bit of a stony element which makes it even more interesting. Ultra balanced. Moritz FEB24: Even with the "entry-level" cuvée, one can feel the elegance and complexity that Eric skillfully wants to encapsulate in the bottle. Everything is very delicate, not too loud, yet very present. A harmony of marzipan, roasted nuts, chalk, and a light smokiness greets the senses. The palate brings out more of the fresh, chalky flavors, which suits the cuvée extremely well. An extremely long finish ties the whole package together. What is sold as an entry-level at Maison Rodez, without overstepping, could be the pinnacle in many other houses. Tasting FEB20: Very strong, made another leap forward since tasting a year ago, very dense, great Tasting JUL21: very complex release, very nutty, very layered, browned apple, slight ripeness, cool, great depth (Eric's language for minerality, chalk contact of vines, mouthfeel).

Maison Lefébure Stella Maris
100% Chardonnay Dosage: 3g/l Single vineyard "Les Biques" in Côte du Petit Morin Matured in wood Riddled and disgorged by hand ChaCha customer JAN24: This “stuff” was rated 10/10 for the nose. What's interesting here is the dialogue between smell and taste: as the temperature increases, the nose becomes more opulent to the point of ideas of spaghetti ice cream with strawberry sauce and shaved white chocolate! However, the taste remains somewhat royal; Clarity and melting, saltiness “meets” lemon juice. The melty components come late, as the drink becomes warmer. A beauty, not to mention the label... Nicola OKT22: Very clean nose, clean, precise fruit, crisp acidity nicely integrated, nice spiciness, gooseberry.

Pinot Noir (main part), Pinot Meunier & Chardonnay Dosage: 0g/l 3,5g/l residual sugarVinified in small oak barrels 42 months bottle aging Not filtered or filteredNicola OCT 25 about 2020: very generous, super charming and pleasant, despite the zero dosage, but probably 3g residual sugar, honey notes, yellow, ripe fruitNicola 25 October 2019; disgorged later: more powerful, somewhat livelier, more straightforward Meininger Sommelier 2022: Attractive, ethereal, tart herbal spices, mugwort, liquorice, sourdough bread, intense, full, ripe, yet with tension, acidity, good depth, slightly clayey texture, some tonka bean, noble roasted aromas. Nicola JUL22: Perhaps the most exciting, classy of the range, where you have the most oak influence, lots of spice, body and pressure, a real protagonist!

Ullens - Domaine de Marzilly L.P.M
100% Meunier Dosage: 2,5g/l Aged in traditional 205 l barrels, made from regional oak, for 11 months18 months bottle ageingRiddled by hand Unfined and unfiltered. The work is very manual and laborious, with a great sense of time and the needs of wine. The second coup of the highly gifted "newies" of Champagne. L.P.M refers to the area north-west of Reims, originally called "La Petit Montagne", in which their vineyards are located. Now that another area bears this name, it can no longer be written out on the label for Maximes and Anna's champagne and is therefore "encrypted". Giuseppe Lauria Editor-in-Chief WEINWISSER APR23: I enjoyed a good 1-hour adventure with this Blanc de Noirs. Because it changes in 10-minute intervals. Initially very restrained, it only reveals its facets with increasing airflow. After 30 to 40 minutes it really gets going: At the beginning only very delicate grapefruit notes, followed by yellow fruits like pear and a touch of marzipan, later bright and light red berries like raspberry join them, which skillfully blend into one with the distinctive sea breeze exciting piece of finesse to be captured in the finale by fine spices such as fennel. An elegant champagne with great evolution in the glass. 17.5+/20-2029 Lukas FEB23: On the nose raspberry, pear and ripe peach with hints of melon and grapefruit in the background. In the mouth juicy lemon and grapefruit, some pear and lemongrass, plus a present and crisp acidity that gives a lot of traction and makes for a great drinkability. A lot of potential for the future, a lot of fun in the glass and a joy to drink right now, but also a very capable food companion. Nicola JUL21: Incredible fragrance that draws you in, very beautiful, subtle honey note, very exciting soft-spicy beguiling, very own aroma, also again wonderful food companion, has something sweet (not sweet), something red-fruity, very light red cherry, red pepper, slight maturity.

Leclaire Thiefaine Cuvée 03 Constantin Grand Cru de Cramant V.V.
100% ChardonnayDosage 2g/lFrom Cramant (Grand Cru)Aged in wooden barrels for 9 monthsBottle aging: At least 5 yearsOld vinesNicola FEB24: Minimal sherry notes, mature, with a finish of salted caramel.Moritz FEB24: Despite its beautiful maturity (slight oxidative notes), the Cuvée Constantin seems quite austere. There are aromas of wet stones, citrus fruits, but also white almonds and salted caramel. On the palate, the aromas from the nose seem a little more tart due to the acidity. The long finish leaves a beautifully chalky/mineral aftertaste, which gives the champagne even more grip and length.Nicola JUN22: Perhaps the chalkiest, most mineral of the range, but again with that beautiful ripe fruit note. Exciting, mildly spicy, complex tone. On the third day: racy, spicy notes, strong character with enormous drinkability.
