Lukas FEB22: In the nose ripe, fine and slightly spicy red fruit, backed by yeasty notes. On the palate fresh apple notes (hints from the apple variety Crown Prince Rudolf), complex, spicy red fruit backed by a present but nicely integrated acidity.
Tasting JUL21: strong body, powerful, very nice spiciness, very long reverberation, coherent character, acidity still needs to integrate more.
100% Pinot Meunier
White Coteaux Champenois
Geoffroy prepares only a few hundred bottles of this Coteaux Champenois Blanc. The Pinot Meunier vines in the plot "Moulin à Vent" are more than 60 years old. The wine is aged in used wooden barrels. Intense fruit, stimulating juiciness, nutty spice and a touch of fine cider characterize this exciting, compact and mineral white wine, which is neither fined nor filtered and receives only a minimal addition of sulfur.

Tasting Nicola FEB23: Straightforward with creamy generosity, fresh with hints of brioche (will intensify with increasing maturity), very fine, elegant and at the same time powerful and extremely harmonious, balanced. Strong, already gives a lot of pleasure. No wonder it has matured for about 10 years and comes from one of the most sought-after Grand Cru locations in Champagne: le Mesnil sur Oger.
Nicola OCT23: Now opens up slowly and gets the beautifully ripe, nutty flavor. Very profound, rich in finesse, elegant, long nutty finish, great combination with the freshness of 2012.

In tribute to the origins of our house this wine is the result of the union of two families and two grape varieties. The Pinot Noirs of Maison Delespierre combine with Chardonnays from Maison Bertrand to offer this cuvée as powerful as refined in its vintage version.

Nicola FEB24: Now perfectly developed with beautiful beginning notes of maturity, slightly smoky, lively acidity that brings a lot of freshness, dried fruits, great resonance.
Moritz FEB24: Stands perfectly now. Light notes of maturity but still a youthful freshness. A very fine smokiness underlies aromas of brioche & lemon zest. Very fresh playful perlage and a good backbone give the champagne incredible complexity. Very long finish. Great champagne joy!

Nicola OKT23 Vintage 12: Terre 12 is a monument! Really strong, the acidity is not as present as in 08, at first a very light honey touch but then the beautiful freshness and perfectly integrated acidity goes to the back and leads into a radiant, sublime finish - wonderful!
Tasting Vintage 2010 FEB20: Extremely complex, perfectly developed, currently only a few tertiary aromas (aromas that arise during ripening such as dried fruit, nuts, cocoa, leather, etc.), very lively aromas, powerful, spicy, unbelievably tingling complexity. The freshness bubbles into the brain and ensures a reboot!
Tasting description of the winery: The complex nose shows aromas of red and black currants and cherries, which mix with delicate hints of wood, underpinned by vanilla, cinnamon and pear. Furthermore citrus fruits (lemon, tangerine), peach and roasted apricots. The flavors on the palate are initially pure and of enormous density, interrupted by a hearty minerality. Then the Chardonnay presents itself with its palette of butter brioche and toast notes that merge into coffee and chocolate.
Serving recommendation from the winery: To enjoy this champagne at its best, we recommend decanting it at 12 ° C about 30 minutes before tasting, so that the dormant energy that is retained during the long years of aging can fully express itself . This great wine goes well with unusual dishes such as sea urchin and crab soup with saffron, a risotto with truffles and Parmesan or an excellent piece of lightly grilled beef
