Pierre Moncuit Nicole Moncuit V.V. Extra Brut 2008
One of the absolute finest blends the estate has to offer: Each vintage champagne from Nicole Moncuit Vielle Vigne is made from 90 year old vines from a single vineyard in Les Chétillons, one of the most prized vineyards in Le Mesnil. This champagne is produced only for exceptional vintages. 100% Chardonnay Dosage: 3g/l Antonio Galloni Vintage 2006 – 94P: The Cuvée Nicole VV emerges from old vines in Les Chétillons, one of the most renowned lieu-dits in Mesnil. More of a wine than a Champagne, the VV possesses notable textural richness and gravitas, both of which build with a bit of time in the glass. This is a terrific choice for readers who enjoy Champagnes with the complexity that develops in bottle over time.  Ratings: For 2006: Gold Medal at Effervescents du Monde 2020 + Top 10 For 2005: Gold medal at Effervescents du Monde 2017 + Top10

50% Pinot Noir, 50% Chardonnay Dosage: 6g/l 6 month in oak barrels  In 1999 the house created its second Tête de Cuvée, named for Laetitia's daughter, Julie. It is created from equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Usually a single vintage champagne, although it is not marked as such on the label. The barrel-matured cuvée has a distinctive and individual character. Pairs beautifully with many meat dishes, smoked foods, and flavorful dishes — often called a "fireplace champagne."

100% Pinot NoirSingle plot in Avirey-Lingey with Kimmeridge soilDosage: 0g/lVinified in BarriqueBottle ageing: 3 yearsUnfined, unfiltered and without added sulphitesTilman FEB25: Typical Dosnon light reduction, slightly smoky, with very subtle vanilla on the nose. Fresh on the palate, but still with great, restrained fruit. Very mineral Pinot Noir interpretation, clear chalky impression. Enormous length even now, superbly balanced between the juicy fruit flavours and striking mineral acidity. 2019 is really fun! Two days later from the same bottle: the reduction and smokiness have almost disappeared, but the wood is more prominent, but here too it is not intrusive, but always a great symbiosis with the light red fruitiness. The minerality also comes through even more strongly, promising great potential!

Partial malo-lactic fermentation on “vins de réserve”. Tilman FEB24 (Base 2022): Lean and fresh at first, reminiscent of ripe citrus fruits, the complex finish has a nutty spice. Vibrant and exciting. Moritz FEB24 (Base 2022): The slightly darker color already indicates maturity. Light spice, but fresh, zesty, and slightly yellow-fruited. On the palate, it's very dense and powerful. The perlage is very straightforward. The taste very much reflects the nose. The finish is very long, and a slight marzipan aftertaste remains. A very strong release! Nicola FEB24 (Base 2022): An extremely strong release, complex, spicy, with roast notes, body, herbal, exciting. Nicola & Moritz FEB24 (Base 2019): Leaner, more floral, more playful than the 22 Base, balanced, acidity well integrated. Lukas FEB23 (base vintage 2018): On the nose ripe notes, mainly apple and some fine cherry fruit. In the mouth full-bodied and juicy, mainly apple and red fruit (cherry) on the palate, nice balance between fruitiness and juicy freshness. Lukas FEB23 (base vintage 2017): On the nose riper notes, some yeasty notes and some red fruit, especially cherry. In the mouth juicy, backed by a fine acidity that provides a nice freshness in the background. Tasting Aug22 Moritz: On the Nose we have (over)ripe red apples and fresh green olives, which gives this champagne a nice balance between fruit and freshness. Taste: Fresh, lively, complex basic champagne with structure!

Je nach Tirage entweder 100% Chardonnayoderca. 85% Chardonnay, ca. 15% Premier Temps Dosage: 7g/l 30% reserve wines 2 years of bottle maturity    The very serious entry into the world of champagnes by Jean Velut: All parcels are vinified separately, the grape material is gently pressed and expanded exclusively in stainless steel. For the assemblage, the most harmonious and accessible wines of the vintage are refined with a good 30% reserve wines and, after bottle fermentation, matured for at least 2 years. The result is a subtle champagne with fine citrus notes and floral nuances. Nicola FEB24: Delightfully nutty, crispy, spicy, nice light fruits, catchy, really fun to drink. Moritz FEB24: On the nose, something vegetative but also lime and a very fine nuttiness. On the palate, fresh and juicy. The nose is well reflected, but everything is carried by a chalky film that brings a great momentum. Lukas NOV22: Fresh notes of spices and apple-pear juice on the nose, juicy apples with a nice spiciness in the mouth, has tension and makes you want more Tasting FEB20: Lots of structure, nice creamy finish, very long, massive, crisp, not so soft, spicy, strong character, lively acidity well integrated at the back. Tasting FEB19: Have a drink and feel good, put it in, nice brioche, stone fruit, yellow fruits, juicy, nice ripe fruit, little acidity on the palate, but still a nice light acidity accompanies you so that you don't get tired and look forward to the next sip.

Henriet-Bazin Cuvée Leonard Rosé Brut
50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir (from that 19% vinified as red wine) From two Grand Cru Terroirs: Verzenay und Verzy Dosage: 7g/l 3 years of bottle maturity Contains 30% reserve wines until 1968 Lukas NOV22: In the nose notes of apple-raspberry with some rosehip as well as hints of cherry and hay flowers, in the mouth apple-raspberry notes, in addition light grapey accents and some raspberry buttermilk, very animating, pleasant acidity and great drinkability. Perfect as an aperitif. Background Story from the winery: Marie-Noëlle likes that her Rosé is not a simple colored champagne but that it clearly marks the aromas of red fruits specific to Pinot Noir Grand Cru from Verzenay and Verzy. For this, she produces its red wine by harvesting the ripest grapes on a south-facing plot located at the bottom of the hills. The southern exposure brings a richness, breadth and body. But this excess of sun also pushes the vines to go underground to hydrate themselves. The accumulation of silt from the bottom of the hill covers the chalk to a great thickness, which deprives the vine of the minerality that Marie-Noëlle did not want for this cuvée. Blended at 19%, the red wine offers a champagne rich in fruity aromas. However, there was no question of making a sparkling red wine, so it was blended with 50% Chardonnay to bring elegance and freshness. But rather than drawing on the minerality of Chardonnay from Villers-Marmery, Marie-Noëlle went to look in these plots of Verzenay so that the chalk is not omnipresent and allows the fruit to express itself fully. The difficulty of this blend and the multiple recepied Marie-Noelle experienced before foinding the perfect blend she was looking for having made me think of the Codex of Leonardo da Vinci, So we decided to baptize the cuvée Léonard. It is therefore a Rosé Champagne that is both powerful and elegant, combining the richness of red fruits, the complexity of the blends and the elegance of our vinifications. Unlike his label companions, Leonard is not on a bicycle but he rides a motorcycle. A beautiful red-raspberry color Monet-Goyon from 1933 which is also in our tasting room. A motorcycle is a bicycle to which an engine has been added to give it power. And Rosé is Champagne to which we have blended red wine which brings all its power. So you understand why Leonardo is the only one on a motorcycle. The character is of strong build, and wears big boots and pretty leather gloves that connect him to authentic and strengh of the Pinot Noir, just like the rosé he represents. But it is no less smiling, attesting to the friendliness and elegance of our rosé.

Henriet-Bazin Cuvée Gaston & Louise
50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir Dosage 0g/l 3 years of bottle maturity 70% base vintage, 30% Perpetuelle Reserve (since 1968) The new cuvée from Marie-Noelle and Nicolas is about respect. Respect for the founders and ancestors of the winery: It all started with Gaston Henriet, Marie-Noelle's great-grandfather. He owned vineyards in Verzenay that were mainly planted with Pinot Noir and, like almost all of them at the time, sold his grapes to the cooperative. In 1890 he decided to produce champagne under his own name and Champagne Henriet was born. There was a generation on the side of the later married-in Bazin winery, another key figure: Louise. Louise had a great love for the Chardonnay vines and vineyards in Villers-Marmery and looked after them with great devotion as if it were her own garden. These two people form the backbone of today's Champagane Henriet-Bazin winery and Nicolas and Marie Noelle try to follow the ideals established at the time with carefully introduced innovations. This cuvée is also about respect for nature and its processes, which you have to understand in order to create a cuvée that is so coherent in itself that it does not require a dosage. This cuvée, made in equal parts from Pinot Noir (Gaston) and Chardonnay (Louise), is dedicated to these two important people, whose work and passion have shaped the perspective of the two winemakers and laid the foundation for their appreciation and attention to nature. The tadem on the label means that you don't necessarily have to be faster as a couple, but you can certainly get further :) Tilman JAN24: A multi-layered cuvée that starts off as winey and spicy and reaches a long mineral finish supported by fine brioche aromas. Tasting MRZ21: Very little attack, Pinot takes the stage first, the aroma melts at the back and the fresher, more elegant Chardonnay prevails, nice nutty finish. Straight but not too sparse despite the zero dosage, because of the vinous, pinot-fruity aroma. Powerful. lively and juicy! Tasting JUL21: Very juicy, strong drinking flow, high quality fruit, nice mix of red fruits and mature yellow fruit, straight, spicy and aromatic, consistent, restrained acidity, very nice nutty finish, crisp, develops more complex flavors over time

André Heucq HERITAGE Blanc de Meunier Brut Nature - Bio
100% Pinot Meunier Dosage: 0g/l Vinification in inox tank 3-4 years of bottle agingNicola OKT24: Rich, yeasty, spicy, roasty, yet also precise. No sulphur, therefore not as fruity as earlier releases, rather spicier flavours. Very harmonious and balanced. Tilman OKT24: Less fruity, a little wilder than the previous releases, spicy and accessible at the back, roasty, rich. Fabio OKT24: Lots of apple on the nose in various stages, taut despite oxidation, but nicely accessible and herbal. Tilman JAN24: Juicy body with notes of apple and pear, becoming leaner towards the end and a stimulating light bitter note. Great Meunier interpretation!

Ullens - Domaine de Marzilly Brut
80% Meunier and 20% Chardonnay 50% reserve wines Dosage: 3g/l With this cuvée, presented for the first time in 2019, Maxime proves his enormous talent in champagne-making. Animating flavor, fine-pored mousse, full of pressure and creamy thanks to 50% reserve wine. Juicy and complex, intense in ferns and expression and yet extremely refreshing and drinkable! All Doamaine champagnes are matured in wood with the traditional measure of 205 liters. These are made especially for the two of them by a nearby barrel producer and provided with different toasting levels. One looks for the perfect harmony with the greatest possible respect for the natural processes in the vineyard and cellar and is already on the way to organic certification. Tilman FEB24: Juicy, powerful, spicy and still with great freshness. Very expressive and ever evolving in the glass. Lukas FEB23: In the nose strawberry, raspberry and blueberry and hints of melon. Very juicy in the mouth, the very nice acidity perfectly underpins the apple, raspberry and citrus flavors, with light notes of wafers on the finish. Very animating to drink with great draw. Tasting JUL21: Strong character, spicy grip, very coherent in itself, tells its own story, very long, very coherent, spicy finish. Intense and interesting, you almost wait until you take the next sip. A great food companion: baked apple, toasted bread, dried fig, dried apricots, beautiful perlage. Might go very well with liver pâté or similar.

Ullens - Domaine de Marzilly L.P.M
100% Meunier Aged in traditional 205 l barrels, made from regional oak Dosage: 2.2g/l The wines are neither fined nor filtered. The work is very manual and laborious, with a great sense of time and the needs of wine. The second coup of the highly gifted "newies" of Champagne. L.P.M refers to the area north-west of Reims, originally called "La Petit Montagne", in which their vineyards are located. Now that another area bears this name, it can no longer be written out on the label for Maximes and Anna's champagne and is therefore "encrypted". Giuseppe Lauria Editor-in-Chief WEINWISSER APR23: I enjoyed a good 1-hour adventure with this Blanc de Noirs. Because it changes in 10-minute intervals. Initially very restrained, it only reveals its facets with increasing airflow. After 30 to 40 minutes it really gets going: At the beginning only very delicate grapefruit notes, followed by yellow fruits like pear and a touch of marzipan, later bright and light red berries like raspberry join them, which skillfully blend into one with the distinctive sea breeze exciting piece of finesse to be captured in the finale by fine spices such as fennel. An elegant champagne with great evolution in the glass. 17.5+/20-2029 Lukas FEB23: On the nose raspberry, pear and ripe peach with hints of melon and grapefruit in the background. In the mouth juicy lemon and grapefruit, some pear and lemongrass, plus a present and crisp acidity that gives a lot of traction and makes for a great drinkability. A lot of potential for the future, a lot of fun in the glass and a joy to drink right now, but also a very capable food companion. Nicola JUL21: Incredible fragrance that draws you in, very beautiful, subtle honey note, very exciting soft-spicy beguiling, very own aroma, also again wonderful food companion, has something sweet (not sweet), something red-fruity, very light red cherry, red pepper, slight maturity.
