Louis Brochet Rosé Millésime 2019
62% Pinot Noir, 33% Chardonnay, 5% red wine from 'Mont Benoit'From 3 plots: "Les Rosets" in Sacy for the Pinot Noir, "Les Vouagnes" in Ecueil for the Chardonnay and the famous terroir "Mont Benoit" in Villers aux Nœuds for the red wineDosage: 3g/lNicola OCT24: Nice fresh, balanced body, well-balanced, suitable as a food companion or just as such. Sophisticated, but not too complicated. Very balanced. Fabio OCT24: Serious rosé with nevertheless a lot of drinking flow, very good balance. Tilman OCT24: Well-structured rosé, has something dark, chocolate too, with a hint of strawberry, but little fruit overall, has something serious about it.Tasting from our colleagues at Sip Champagnes in London: THE rosé champagne that makes everyone rave. It starts with a beguiling nose: summer berries, raspberries, wild strawberries and fresh and almost floral. Then it explodes on the palate with a crisp attack, huge ripe summer fruits and berries in the mid palate before breaking out and becoming clean, refreshing and dry and then you just want to take sip after sip of this absolutely luscious yet delicate sparkling wine.

With malolactic fermentation Production: 15.000 bottles/year Olivier et Didier Gimonnet: "Fleuron and Oneophil are the traditional vintages of the house. Selected from only the great years, la cuvée Brut Fleuron is a wise assembly of our different soils, representative of the vintage. It can represent 30 to 50% of a harvest. This always has the best relationship between quality/price/ and pleasure of our range. Our grands crus, especially Chouilly being the wide majority, but we consider that the wines of the 1st Cru Leather are an essential signing of the "Pierre Gimonnet & Fils Style»: A great vintage must be a wine of pleasure, a balanced wine between concentration, fineness and elegance. Besides, the acidity of our 1st Cru soils confers freshness, as well as possessing the potential to guard our vintage cuvées Each year, the proportions of the different places mentioned vary with the intention of perpetuating our style."

René Geoffroy Moulin à vent (Still Wine) Cumières Blanc 2019
100% Pinot Meunier White Coteaux Champenois Geoffroy prepares only a few hundred bottles of this Coteaux Champenois Blanc. The Pinot Meunier vines in the plot "Moulin à Vent" are more than 60 years old. The wine is aged in used wooden barrels. Intense fruit, stimulating juiciness, nutty spice and a touch of fine cider characterize this exciting, compact and mineral white wine, which is neither fined nor filtered and receives only a minimal addition of sulfur.

René Geoffroy Les Chalmonts (Still Wine) Cumières Rouge 2019
100% Pinot Noir Terroir: Clay and lime, with fragments of flint. Selection of very early-ripening plots above Cumières Average age of the vines: 45 years Wine making: Harvested and rigorously sorted by hand. Maceration and winemaking in an open oak vat with immersed cap. Matured for 10 months in demi-muid casks and barrels before aging in stainless steel vats, in the cellar at a constant temperature. Malolactic fermentation in barrels; no fining, no filtering. Tasting: Colour: brilliant, deep red. The nose is typical of the Pinot Noirs of the Terroir of Cumieres with some morello cherry (griotte) coming through. In the mouth a smooth balance is formed between red fruits and silky, delicate tannins. Antonio Galloni Vintage 2012 – 93P: The 2012 Pinot Meunier is bold, punchy and vibrant. A rush of sweet red cherry, game, tobacco, licorice and earthy notes give this mid-weight red surprising nuance. The 2012 is remarkably fresh for a still red wine that is nearly ten years old. This nervy Cumières Pinot has so much character. I absolutely loved it. Daniela Dejnega 2022: Coteaux Champenois Rouge at its best. Geoffroy's Pinot Noir vines in the "Les Chalmonts" site are on average 45 years old. On the clay and limestone soils above Cumières, the grapes ripen early. They are strictly selected and fermented in open wooden vats, partly with the stems. The red wine is aged in barrels, without sulfur, fining or filtration. The bouquet is elegant and red berry, sweet and sour cherries, some tobacco and autumn leaves. Very fresh on the palate, silky, ripe tannins with fine grip, red-fruited again and a hint of cocoa. Needs time in the glass!

Lukas FEB23: In the nose ripe and spicy yellow fruit, some smokiness in the background and floral aromas reminiscent of chamomile and herbs. In the mouth, the herbal notes are in the foreground, along with some warm yellow fruit and a bit of ripe peach and apricot on the finish. Very juicy, acidity rather more present in the background.

Etienne Sandrin Beauregard 2019 - Bio
100% Pinot Noir Single vineyard Beauregard Biodynamic farming Spontaneous fermentation Dosage: 0g/l 2-3 years bottle aging Etienne describes the wine beautifully: "The whole description of the wine is contained in this name "Beauregard": A beautiful look is at once gentle, subtle, delicate, without frills, without mascara. In short, its natural beauty is sufficient unto itself. Beauregard has this in its genes and especially in its soil. We are on the first subsidence of the Upper Kimmeridgian, directly under the Portlandien, whose rock is found in the upper part of the plot. In other words, we are on "pebbles" with white clay and a not very deep soil. So the wine immediately becomes more discreet, fine and subtle. The Pinots Noirs of Beauregard then give a delicate fruit, like cherry or currant or even raspberry. Being on the north side, we also get a lot of freshness. In short, it is again a whole new flavor, in the range of "Parcellaires" of Sandrin champagnes. Nicola OKT23: For Sandrin's calm and reserved champagnes, relatively expressive with singing fruit, straight and mineral.

They are low in sulfite (less than 35mg/l). Riddling by hand in natural cellar! Tasting JUL19: More power, more acid, a little tannins, very long, again the ethereal, structure, finesse. Almost a bit young at the moment. Tasting FEB20: Burgundian, straightforward, very complex, austerity and still character, salty, Unami, nice nutty finish, 4 years in bottle, a lot of pressure on the palate not strict. Tasting JUL21: very nice aromatic fine nose, tight, dratig, straight, light creaminess, light caramel note, very long finish, not too strict. Nicola JUN22 on a very hot day: Relatively open, lots of body, almost vinous, tight, mineral, salty at the back.

Marie Courtin Éloquence 2019 - Bio
100% Chardonnay Dosage: Brut Nature Single Vineyard Champagne 50% vinified in wood and 50% in tank Antonio Galloni Vintage 2016 – 93P: The Eloquence is a powerful, deep wine. A richer side of Chardonnay is very much in evidence here. Orange peel, apricot, spice and honeyed overtones build in a sumptuous, vinous Champagne built on texture and breadth.  Peter Liem: While the Aube is thought of as producing rounder, fruitier wines than those of the Marne, the Éloquence is marked by a certain austerity, driven not only by the acidity of chardonnay but by a complex and distinctive soil signature. It's an intensely terroir-driven champagne, and at its best, it's one of the most exciting champagnes currently being made in the Aube.

Marie Courtin Indulgence 2019 Rosé - Bio
100% Pinot Noir Dosage: 0g/l Matured in tank Maceration 3 to 4 days Stamped out with the feet   Peter Liem: Her first attempt at rosé was in 2011, due to the perfect health of her harvest in that vintage. Called Indulgence, it's made entirely from pinot noir, and its maceration was unusually long, lasting for four days. "I didn't want to make something fruity and easy," she says. "I wanted something reflective of the Aube, of our soils here. There's a tradition here in the Aube for long maceration, and I think it's appropriate for our pinot noir." Vinification takes place in tank, producing a deep, intensely fragrant rosé champagne, but quantities are necessarily small: fewer than 3,000 bottles in that first release. Its dark, brambly flavors of cherry and redcurrant are sappy and dense, underlined by intense notes of spicy, flinty minerality, and its structure is firm and almost tannic on the finish. It’s more like a light red wine than a traditional rosé champagne, but it’s delicious, and highly expressive of Aube terroir. Antonio Galloni Vintage 2015 – 95P: The 2015 is fabulous. Dried rose petal, herbs, mint, sweet red cherry and a host of savory accents all run through the 2015. Beguiling and nuanced at every turn, the Indulgence certainly lives up to its name! It is another wine in this range I absolutely adore.
