100% Pinot Noir Dosage: 0g/l Benoit Marguet cultivates only 0.7 hectares in Bouzy. The vines for the Bouzy Grand Cru Extra Brut are grown in the Lieu dits Les loges and Les Hannepés and are fermented individually in wood. The barrels vary from second to ninth occupancy. Since 2010 the plants have been plowed manually with the horse. Marguets champagne is generally neither enriched nor given a shipping dosage. It works with minimal intervention, without pumps and with little to no use of sulfur. Description of Sebastian Bordthäuser: Nose: The 2015 Bouzy by Champagne Marguet is powerful and demanding on the nose. Walnut biscuits and yeast plaits as well as roasted Piedmontese hazelnuts provide the steep template, followed by citric notes of zests and an oxidized, red-cheeked apple. Salted caramel and fresh white mushroom mix with a delicate smoky note, which is underlaid with herbal notes of borage and a drop of bitter almond oil. A champagne that unmistakably calls for the large glasses, but preferably after five years of bottle aging. Mouth: With a creamy initial taste and a fine pearly mousseux, the 2015 Bouzy has a substantial, opulent palate with an immediate presence from the first drop. Its fruit shines over the extract and is supported by the delicate phenolics of the champagne, which gives it a smoky to spicy back-up. Orange blossom water and Darjeeling make the extremely dry wine appear fruity and tart, balanced by the extract-rich core and its multi-layered, complex and long aftertaste with a spicy, warm finish. No squeamish champagne that still has the best of manners. Food: - Tagliatelle with fresh morels - Hot smoked mackerel with passion fruit vinaigrette and tomato salsa - Chinese Fried Chicken Flights with Fermented Tofu

100% Chardonnay Dosage: 0g/l L’Amateur is the house's entry-level cuvée, a blend of six different parcels in Trépail. This single-origin Chardonnay is vinified in enamelled 33 hl steel tanks - Léclapart does not use stainless steel tanks because he is convinced that this generates negative energy. Like all of the house's wines, L'Amateur goes through malolactic fermentation, there is no fining or filtration whatsoever. The result is a powerful Chardonnay, pure and without make-up with a mineral bite. Léclapart's champagnes are different, headstrong and fascinating. The "L'Amateur" is particularly recommended for getting to know the style, as it already gives an idea of what is still to be discovered. Be sure to carafe or ventilate for a long enough time! Peter Liem: The entry-level cuvée is called L’Amateur, blended from five different parcels in Trépail and vinified entirely in enameled 33 HL. steel tanks—Léclapart has no stainless steel anywhere in his cellar, as he believes that it promotes negative energy.  

100% Chardonnay Dosage: 0g/l Peter Liem: In 2004, Gautherot began bottling a pure chardonnay called Blanc d’Argile, from the Biaunes vineyard. The vines here are young, having been planted in 2000, and unlike Vouette, which faces south, Biaunes has a western exposure, meaning that the grapes take a long time to ripen. Yields tend to be very low (a mere 15 hl/ha in 2004, resulting in only 1,100 bottles being produced), as Gautherot prunes the chardonnay here to only five bunches per vine, and this is well-reflected in the ample, mouth-filling character of this wine.

100% ChardonnayDosage: 0g/lThe terroir plays a special role here: deep-rooted Chardonnay vines from various 1er Cru plots give Léclapart the opportunity to let not only the purist of his cellar work, but also the original of the vineyard speak from his Champagne - soil and rock. Vinification takes place in equal parts in used barriques and in enamel tanks. Equipped with Zero Dosage, this Chardonnay masterfully conveys the style of the House of Léclapart.The fact that Léclapart was only able to harvest very small quantities over several vintages due to weather conditions underscores just how great the challenges are in Champagne for winemakers working organically and biodynamically. Therefore, we had to wait until 2024 for the next vintage of L'Artiste! L'Artiste is made from Chardonnay from vines 30 to 50 years old. The specific plot from which this wine comes varies from year to year. Léclapart calls this cuvée "a discovery of terroir": he is not looking for a specific expression here, but wants to learn more about the terroir of Trépail. Peter Liem: L’Artiste, is generally made from chardonnay vines between 30 and 50 years old, but the particular parcels vary from year to year. Léclapart calls this cuvée “a discovery of terroir”: “I’m not looking for anything in particular,” he says. “I’m just trying to learn about the terroir of Trépail.” Half of the wine for L’Artiste is vinified in old barriques, while the other half is made in enameled steel.

The single vineyard Les Chênes champagne is produced exclusively with Chardonnay. Les Chênes is a renowned vineyard located halfway up the slope along the street to Hautvillers, east of Cumières. There is only a thin soil layer over the chalky parent rock. The first vintage produced only 400 bottles, although today production has expanded to 1800 bottles — produced solely in the finest vintages and only as Brut Nature.  

100% Pinot Meunier Dosage: 0g/l Single Vineyard To the west and slightly above Cumières sits 'Les Hautes-Chèvres', where Laval cultivates Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The darker, more fertile soil of this vineyard contains more clay than that in Les Chênes and the chalk cliffs stretch even deeper. In 2004 Laval produced a pure Pinot Meunier champagne here from this site, and he has continued ever since.   

100% Chardonnay from the single vineyard "La Pierre St-Martin“ Dosage: 0g/l  Vinified in oak  Old vines from 1946 L’Apôtre is the estate's top cuvée — a single-vineyard champagne from the La Pierre St-Martin vineyard, with vines planted in 1946 by Léclapart's own grandfather. The wines are barrel matured in order to match the concentration and intensity of grapes from these old vines. In each vintage, L’Apôtre is known for presenting the greatest complexity and expressiveness of any of the cuvées.
