18% Chardonnay, 18% Meunier, 17% Pinot Blanc, 14% Pinot Noir, 15% Petit Meslier, 10% Pinot Gris, 8% Arbane In the old vineyards one came across almost forgotten vines that used to play a role in the production of champagne. In 2003 the decision was made to plant Fromenteau, Arbanne and Petit Meslier together with the classic grape varieties in one plot. The vineyards lie on loamy and sandy limestone soils, some with flint in the municipality of Chavot-Courcourt. No use of pesticides or other chemical agents. Manual harvest with optimal ripening of the grapes, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in at least 10 year old barriques from Burgundy for 6 months with regular stirring of the yeast ('bâtonnage'). No malolactic fermentation Then the base wines are fed into a Solera system. 40% reserve wines mature here, to which 60% of the current vintage is added every year. Degogged by hand à la volée Dosage: 4 g/l

50% Pinot Noir, 50% ChardonnayDosage: 0.6g/lat least 17 years of bottle ageingTilman AUG24 (on 2004): Rich and lush on the nose, but always fresh. Notes of ripe apple and salted caramel. This continues aromatically on the palate, is right on point, slight notes of ripeness and oxidation, but always incredibly fresh and mineral-salty.

Furthermore, citrus fruits (lemon, mandarin), peach and roasted apricots. The aromas on the palate are initially pure and of enormous density, interrupted by a hearty minerality. Then the Chardonnay presents itself with its palette of butter brioche and toast notes, which transition into coffee and chocolate.Tasting FEB20: Extremely complex, perfectly developed, currently still few tertiary aromas (aromas that develop during maturation such as dried fruit, nuts, cocoa, leather, etc.), very lively aromatics, powerful, spice, incredibly sparkling complexity. The freshness bubbles into the brain and provides a reboot!

We discover aromas of paprika, pepper, some stone fruit and damp forest soil. The mousse is very powerful. It is firm on the palate and shows very light ripe tones and a nice spiciness. On the finish, which, as with the other cuvées, just doesn't want to end, we find a nice, salty freshness.Nicola FEB24: Dark, earthy, full-bodied, still a little closed, salty.Tasting AUG22: Creamy with hints of butter croissant and very animatingly roasty. Initially a little rough and firm, air and time give it more and more drinkability and allow notes of Roiboosh tea, Palo Cortado, chocolate and nuts to shine through. Polarising but highly exciting!

57% Chardonnay, 29% Pinot Noir, 14% Meunier Dosage: 0g/l First fermentation of the base wines in wooden vats Malolactic fermentation was not forced. Disgorgement September 2018 Bottle aging: 15 years Tasting: wow! The fifteen years on the lees until disgorgement in September 2018 make for a monumental wine. Its expression of character, origin, identity and great elegance is unique. The nose reveals toasted hazelnuts and almonds. The enormously long yeast storage spreads an absolute sense of well-being through the smell alone. Yellow and green apples in all facets. Brioche spread with butter. Almond biscuits and shortcrust pastry. Your mind is totally lost. Lemon tart with burnt meringue. And there is always a wall of pure chalk and filigree behind the countless aromas and nuances. Can't wait for the first sip. As soon as he starts drinking, he really gives it gas. A great combination of maturity, yeast autolysis and minerality. The mousseux creates the first moments in a creamy and opulent manner. As soon as the melt has reached its peak, its balanced acidity sets in and ensures a tightrope walk. The acid harmonizes brilliantly with the incredible minerality. Lemon and apple aromas provide the freshness kick. The maturity of the wine cannot be denied. But matured with dignity and in this construct just the right dose. The mouthfeel is elegant and delicate. The reverberation sticks endlessly on the palate. Sensationally good wine.

100% Pinot Meunier from the oldest vines Dosage 1.5g/l brown limestone & clay no herbicides, no insecticides 50% used barrique (from the own forest) & 50% amphora over 11 monthsno malo / filtration / fining Causica comes from the oldest Meunier vines of the Lointiers. Half of the wine was aged in used barriques whose wood came from their own forest. The other half aged for eleven months in amphora. No malolactic fermentation, no fining, no filtration. The yeast aging on the bottle is at least 22 months. The name Causica derives from a subspecies of honeybee that has a special hairiness - similar to the leaves of Pinot Meunier. Causica smells invitingly of cookie and peach cream, with an exciting smoky undercurrent to everything. The palate shows plenty of structure as well as a fine red berry quality that lingers long on the grippy finish.

Initially extremely fresh on the palate, almost sparkling, with striking acidity, but this quickly integrates into a more mature aroma, a hint of brioche, accompanied by increasing red fruitiness and spice. It has power and pushes across the palate, but in the end it nestles wonderfully and lingers for a long time. Wow! It will certainly be exciting to follow this over a longer period of time (both in the glass and in the bottle).
