80% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir Dosage: 0g/l Vinified in small oak barrels Uncompromising tribute to Tarlant’s Lutetian limestone plots Markus Hofschuster Wein-Plus about 2005: Deep, firm and complex, pronounced yeasty scent of pomaceous fruit and a little citrus fruit with floral aromas and very fine, rather dark spiciness. Juicy, dense and ripe-fruity in the mouth, lively, fine mousseux, nutty and herbal aromas, also a hint of tobacco, has a grip, but also something open-hearted, very slightly oxidative, complex, certain strength and melting, enormous substance, becomes more in the air cooler and firmer, clear minerality, deep, multi-layered and long, with a proper pull at the back. In wonderful shape. 96/100P

It is a blend of old vineyards (40 years old to over 100 years old) on this very special terroir, considered by all as one of the two greatest historic villages of the Côte des Blancs. Its silky texture, elegance and depth are unique. With 12 hectares of Grand Cru, we have never made a cuvée from 100% Grand Cru. Our philosophy of champagne making has always led us to add a touch of "Cuis 1er cru" to give freshness to our great vintages, because we prefer harmony to intensity. Since the 2012 vintage, we have decided to expand our range; the iconic "Grands Terroirs de Chardonnay" are complemented by 3 "Single Terroirs" in very limited quantities.

Tilman OCT24: Rich nose, also generous on the palate, but balanced, balanced, spicy and melting.Fabio OCT24: Red-fruity, fine perlage, again nice creaminess thanks to the beautiful use of wood, balance here too. Moritz OCT22: The warm-heartedness and powerful red fruitiness of the Pinot Noir dominates the cuvée. On the palate, however, we find precise and elegant perlage, which gives the champagne great tension. And the 30% Reserve Perpetuelle delivers even more depth. A great accompaniment to hearty dishes.

The Chardonnay grapes come from two Grand Cru terroirs: Le Mesnil and Oger. An ideal combination, according to the winemaker Pierre Amillet, because Le Mesnil is very firm and acidic, a little softer Ogre. Tasting: Very fine character; light biscuit and delicate smokiness on the nose, lively and wonderfully fresh on the palate.
