Val Colas Robin vineyard was planted with Pinot Blanc in 1955. It is one of the best from Piollot, with great exposure and the soil is based on limestone and red clay.Médaille d’Argent aux Vinalies Internationales 2015Tasting: FEB20: Base 14, tastes chalky, vivid accidity, fresh, straight, dynamic, pleasantly bitterish, earthy in the aftertaste
Tasting a matured bottle - JAN21: Pulled out of the wine cabinet after 3 years: Colas Robin Basis 2013 (one of our favorite vintages, although received little attention so far). Wonderfully developed, delicious! Extremely harmonious, straight to the point - has retained the delicacy of the Pinot Blanc, still straightforward, elegant, cool, since no sugar, then a wonderful generous mixture of honey, nuts, brioche, cream, chocolate unfolds towards the back , Coffee that blends very gently and inconspicuously into the overall picture. Great development!
Rating from Customer: More yellow fruited than I would expect, fresh, linear and inviting to another sip. More interesting than 98% of what I have tasted from this grape. The bottles was empty halfway through our dinner (I would have liked to see it develop over many hours, and luckily I have another) - (93+p)

Customer Rating:
Opened yesterday to acompany some great sushi. Just a lush and luxury-like feeling, drinking this wine. If this producer was more well known, it could easily fetch 80 Euro/bottle. I have som for tonight also, and I am looking forward to it. (92p)

100% ChardonnayDosage 0g/lFrom the single vineyard PolisotAged in equal parts in wood and stainless steelBottle ageing: At least 3.5 yearsPeter Liem: Although the Chardonnays from the Aube are usually much fruitier and rounder than those from the Marne and Côte des Blancs, the Éloquence is characterised by being very austere. It is characterised by the typical acidity of Chardonnay and is an intense terroir champagne. In good vintages, it is one of the best produced on the Aube.
70% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot BlancDosage 0g/lFrom a single vineyard in PolisotMatured in stainless steelBottle ageing: 3 yearsTilman AUG24: The nose is stony, citrusy, pleasantly tart, slightly yellow-fruity and a little exotic fruit. Dark, slightly smoky on the palate, the fruit is rather restrained, but the structure is amazing. It is grippy, constantly evolves in the glass, takes up the whole mouth, but always remains fresh, mineral and salty. Fascinating length, something to ponder and savour!Tasting SEP21: Soft, charming, subtle wood, harmonious, soft, very well-integrated acidity. Pear, white flowers, floral (all typical of Pinot Blanc) - bottle is empty surprisingly quickly!

Barrel fermentation, followed by maturation in barrique for 9-10 months. Bottled in spring.
The fruit comes from the same site as Resonance and thus shows the same distinctive terroir and minerality. The difference between the two Champagnes thus lies primarily in the barrel influence. When all runs well, oak provides well-made Champagne with a more complex and nuanced character. Rather than standing in the spotlight, the barrel here supports from the wings. It stabilizes and smooths the individual components into a stunning and balanced whole.
