Henriet-Bazin Cuvée Gaston & Louise
50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir Dosage 0g/l 3 years of bottle maturity 70% base vintage, 30% Perpetuelle Reserve (since 1968) The new cuvée from Marie-Noelle and Nicolas is about respect. Respect for the founders and ancestors of the winery: It all started with Gaston Henriet, Marie-Noelle's great-grandfather. He owned vineyards in Verzenay that were mainly planted with Pinot Noir and, like almost all of them at the time, sold his grapes to the cooperative. In 1890 he decided to produce champagne under his own name and Champagne Henriet was born.There was a generation on the side of the later married-in Bazin winery, another key figure: Louise. Louise had a great love for the Chardonnay vines and vineyards in Villers-Marmery and looked after them with great devotion as if it were her own garden. These two people form the backbone of today's Champagane Henriet-Bazin winery and Nicolas and Marie Noelle try to follow the ideals established at the time with carefully introduced innovations. This cuvée is also about respect for nature and its processes, which you have to understand in order to create a cuvée that is so coherent in itself that it does not require a dosage. This cuvée, made in equal parts from Pinot Noir (Gaston) and Chardonnay (Louise), is dedicated to these two important people, whose work and passion have shaped the perspective of the two winemakers and laid the foundation for their appreciation and attention to nature. The tadem on the label means that you don't necessarily have to be faster as a couple, but you can certainly get further :) Tilman JAN24: A multi-layered cuvée that starts off as winey and spicy and reaches a long mineral finish supported by fine brioche aromas. Tasting MRZ21: Very little attack, Pinot takes the stage first, the aroma melts at the back and the fresher, more elegant Chardonnay prevails, nice nutty finish. Straight but not too sparse despite the zero dosage, because of the vinous, pinot-fruity aroma. Powerful. lively and juicy! Tasting JUL21: Very juicy, strong drinking flow, high quality fruit, nice mix of red fruits and mature yellow fruit, straight, spicy and aromatic, consistent, restrained acidity, very nice nutty finish, crisp, develops more complex flavors over time

Etienne Sandrin Beauregard 2020 - Bio
100% Pinot Noir Single vineyard Beauregard Biodynamic farming Spontaneous fermentation Dosage: 0g/l 2-3 years bottle aging Etienne describes the wine beautifully: "The whole description of the wine is contained in this name "Beauregard": A beautiful look is at once gentle, subtle, delicate, without frills, without mascara. In short, its natural beauty is sufficient unto itself. Beauregard has this in its genes and especially in its soil. We are on the first subsidence of the Upper Kimmeridgian, directly under the Portlandien, whose rock is found in the upper part of the plot. In other words, we are on "pebbles" with white clay and a not very deep soil. So the wine immediately becomes more discreet, fine and subtle. The Pinots Noirs of Beauregard then give a delicate fruit, like cherry or currant or even raspberry. Being on the north side, we also get a lot of freshness. In short, it is again a whole new flavor, in the range of "Parcellaires" of Sandrin champagnes. Nicola OKT23: For Sandrin's calm and reserved champagnes, relatively expressive with singing fruit, straight and mineral.

Pierre Moncuit Brut Rosé Henriette
85% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Noir Dosage: 7g/l Pierre Moncuit is famous for its Blanc de Blancs but it also produces an excellent Rosé. The grapes are from Le Mesnil (Chardonnay) and Ambonnay (Pinot Noir). Dosage: 2g/l Nicola FEB24: Super complex and balanced, a very strong release! Moritz FEB24: Very fresh, elegant, and complex. Notes of mandarin & quince and a hint of spice give the Solessence a very pleasant tart freshness. The perlage is very fine and elegant. Lukas FEB23 (base vintage 2020): In the nose red fruit, some yellow fruit, then in the background fine yeast notes. In the mouth fresh and juicy, very nice juicy apple notes, plus hints of raspberry, blackberry and some lemongrass. Very animating with great drinkability. Tasting FEB20: Base 2017 - Rich, generous aromas despite the freshness and the low dosage (longer yeast storage compared to the past and perpetual reserve makes it so multi-layered), more balance than before, extremely versatile, winey, yet youthful, precise, balanced, floral, herbal, minerality stops, Silex in the ground, chalk flashes in the mouth, anything but an entry!
