50% Pinot Meunier, 30% Pinot Noir, 20% ChardonnayDosage 2g/lFrom Hautvillers (Premier Cru)Matured in wooden barrel for 1 yearBottle ageing: 9 yearsNo fining, no filtration, minimal addition of sulphurMoritz FEB24: appears a little spicy. We discover aromas of paprika, pepper, some stone fruit and damp forest soil. The mousse is very powerful. It is firm on the palate and shows very light ripe tones and a nice spiciness. On the finish, which, as with the other cuvées, just doesn't want to end, we find a nice, salty freshness.Nicola FEB24: Dark, earthy, full-bodied, still a little closed, salty.Tasting AUG22: Creamy with hints of butter croissant and very animatingly roasty. Initially a little rough and firm, air and time give it more and more drinkability and allow notes of Roiboosh tea, Palo Cortado, chocolate and nuts to shine through. Polarising but highly exciting!

Labruyere Prologue Extra Brut MAGNUM
69% Pinot Noir 31% Chardonnay Dosage: 0,8g/l From the plots Les Potences, Les Longues Raies, Les Rochelles, Champs Saint Martin in Verzenay 27% reserve wines 20% aged in wooden barrels at Domaine Jacques Prieur in Burgundy Five years of bottle agingNicola OCT24: Super nice nuttiness, very complex vinosity, insanely strong, complex, profound cuvée, although only the beginning! Fresh & crisp.Tilman OCT24: Tension between yeast and freshness, rather on the sparser side, melting at the back, hints of red fruit, elegant, red fruit lingers, great length!Fabio OCT24: Brioche, yeastiness in the nose, little fruit, super fresh on the palate, crisp acidity, super dry, but super balance, nice length. Nicola JUN22: Nicely spicy, complex aromas of dried fruit, toasted aromas, coherent character, very harmonious and elegant, Long lasting nutty finish. Winery: The powerful structure of Pinot Noir is enlivened by the tension of Chardonnay. Moritz OCT22: The Cuvée Prologue is the entry point of the Domaine Labruyere. Getting started is an absolute understatement. As soon as you smell it for the first time, your eyebrows will be raised. Such complexity is not expected from the "base" cuvée of a domaine. It is immediately clear that the champagne Prologue is incredibly fresh and playful. Some cooked rhubarb and red apple are balanced beautifully with a slight herbaceous note. The first sip surprises as the wine is incredibly precise yet super juicy. The nose is reflected magnificently on the palate. The Prologue is deep, superbly balanced, and despite its complexity, accessible and charming. Aperitif character at a high level.

Pierre Moncuit Nicole Moncuit V.V. Extra Brut 2008
One of the absolute finest blends the estate has to offer: Each vintage champagne from Nicole Moncuit Vielle Vigne is made from 90 year old vines from a single vineyard in Les Chétillons, one of the most prized vineyards in Le Mesnil. This champagne is produced only for exceptional vintages. 100% Chardonnay Dosage: 3g/l Antonio Galloni Vintage 2006 – 94P: The Cuvée Nicole VV emerges from old vines in Les Chétillons, one of the most renowned lieu-dits in Mesnil. More of a wine than a Champagne, the VV possesses notable textural richness and gravitas, both of which build with a bit of time in the glass. This is a terrific choice for readers who enjoy Champagnes with the complexity that develops in bottle over time. Diebolt-Vallois Fleur de Passion 2015
100% Chardonnay, Blanc de Blancs Sourced from 7-8 different sites, all cultivated with old slopeside vines (facing ESE). Especially from the Grand Cru site of Les Buzons (Cramant). Other parcels include: Pimonts, Goutte d’Or, Rouillées, Fourches and Gros Monts. The vines average between 40-60 years of age, although in some cases they are believed to be even older. Miniscule yields. Terroir: Thin soil layer over chalk parent rock. Vinification: Primary fermentation takes place in small, old Burgundy Barriques. The wine sees no malolactic fermentation, filtration or fining. Anything that could potentially stress the wine is avoided; this preserves and develops the maximal expression of terroir. Following primary fermentation, the wine is matured for one year in barrique. Dosage: 3g/l Fleur de Passion is a serious and traditional champagne inspired through the hard work of Jacques Diebolt (see Winemaker Profile). A rare jewel needing considerable time in the bottle in order to develop its full and stunning potential. Nicola OKT25 - Vintage 2015: Intense, beautiful nose; for the warm year 2015, this Fleur is currently wonderfully fresh and leans more towards the mineral side. Fine spice, nice length, currently not fully developed. Balanced, complex, compact body. If opened now, decant at least 1 hour before. Otherwise, ideally let it mature for at least another 6 months. It will reach perfection in about 2-3 years.Nicola FEB24 - Vintage 2013: Super generous with elegant delicacy and the lightly vibrating freshness of 2013, truly sings, buoyant, butter, brioche. Moritz FEB24 - Vintage 2013: WOW!!!...There's so much going on that I find it hard to put the drinking experience into words. Everything is very calm and harmonizes perfectly with each other. Aromas of white chocolate, raspberry, roasted almond, butter brioche, salted lemon, and salted caramel waft towards you very subtly. The palate is round, full-bodied yet still very fine and elegant. The entire range of aromas is also found on the palate and is supported by a light saltiness. After 10 years, the Fleur de Passion is still super fresh...Yes, almost youthful in the glass. The finish seems endless. The taste after swallowing (excuse me, but one simply cannot spit out this champagne) just doesn't want to end. Truly grand champagne cinema. Tasting Andreas Langre - Vintage 2013: Fleur de Passion is one of few series of which I´ve had the privileged to try from first to last. The 1995 & 1996 was amazing and if I had to choose just one bottle from both years to fill up the cellar, it could possibly be FdP. A few years ago, I was fortunate enough to attend a vertical 1995-2008 and since then unashamed indulged in several 2010 & 2012 as well as the last 1996:s and various vintages. The 2013 is very longed for and descending the nose in the glass immediately puts a smile of relief and pleasure on my lips. Relief because this is a true-to-vintage masterpiece, sporting that emblematic dusty minerality I always yearn for in this kind of wine. Though recently released, the 2013 opens more eagerly than the 2012 sibling and is already flexing the butter smeared, fleshy fruit loins. Vanilla sprinkled juicy apples, ananas & sticky cape gooseberry. Then delicious, perfectly ripe mango, served in oyster shells. The developed glass gives a preview of what´s to come for this one within just a few years: Dark chocolate, liquored cherries, cacao (this is the oak speaking), preserved fruits, white flowers, & leather. Outstanding! The mouth is divine as well! Dangerously drinkable already, lush & juicy with abundant minerality & stunning, salivating acidity. Quite complex, with great intensity and impressive length. This wine will perform perfectly for decades but is enjoyable today as well. Accessible and in every aspect – stunning! Tasting FEB20 - Vintage 2010: Very charming release, slightly lighter, not as much body as e.g. 2008, currently of course still too young, ultra-beautiful, nutty finish, extremely long, acidity well integrated. Tasting FEB19 - Vintage 2010: Currently still young, rather less acid, flowery, extremely long finish, creamy, round, balance Tasting FEB19 - Vintage 2007: Isabelle Diebolt: "Fleur 07 is like a black Chanel dress, reduced elegance" We could fully subscribe to this. Extra Brut, composed of 70 percent pinot noir and 30 percent chardonnay. V.P. stands for Vieillissement Prolongé, or extended aging, and this cuvée typically spends five to six years in the cellar before release, resulting in a wine of rich complexity and refinement.

Ullens - Domaine de Marzilly L.P.M MAGNUM
100% Meunier Dosage: 2,5g/lAged in traditional 205 l barrels, made from regional oak, for 11 months18 months bottle ageing Riddled by handUnfined and unfilteredThe work is very manual and laborious, with a great sense of time and the needs of wine. The second coup of the highly gifted "newies" of Champagne. L.P.M refers to the area north-west of Reims, originally called "La Petit Montagne", in which their vineyards are located. Now that another area bears this name, it can no longer be written out on the label for Maximes and Anna's champagne and is therefore "encrypted". Giuseppe Lauria Editor-in-Chief WEINWISSER APR23: I enjoyed a good 1-hour adventure with this Blanc de Noirs. Because it changes in 10-minute intervals. Initially very restrained, it only reveals its facets with increasing airflow. After 30 to 40 minutes it really gets going: At the beginning only very delicate grapefruit notes, followed by yellow fruits like pear and a touch of marzipan, later bright and light red berries like raspberry join them, which skillfully blend into one with the distinctive sea breeze exciting piece of finesse to be captured in the finale by fine spices such as fennel. An elegant champagne with great evolution in the glass. 17.5+/20-2029 Lukas FEB23: On the nose raspberry, pear and ripe peach with hints of melon and grapefruit in the background. In the mouth juicy lemon and grapefruit, some pear and lemongrass, plus a present and crisp acidity that gives a lot of traction and makes for a great drinkability. A lot of potential for the future, a lot of fun in the glass and a joy to drink right now, but also a very capable food companion. Nicola JUL21: Incredible fragrance that draws you in, very beautiful, subtle honey note, very exciting soft-spicy beguiling, very own aroma, also again wonderful food companion, has something sweet (not sweet), something red-fruity, very light red cherry, red pepper, slight maturity.

Larmandier-Bernier Chemins d’Avize 2016 - Bio
100% Chardonnay Dosage: 2g/l LES CHEMINS D’AVIZE come to enrich the list of our single-vineyard champagnes. We began this approach in 1988 with VV de Cramant, then completed in 1995 with Terre de Vertus and in 1999 by the Rosé de Saignée. We know for many years that Avize is worth a single vineyard cuvee. In 2009, we bought a smaller press so that we can now separate the juice from our 2 Avize vineyards. Vinification: The natural alcoholic fermentation (natural yeast) and the malolactic fermentation begin spontaneously in our casks and our wooden vats. The wines are left on their natural lees for nearly a year and undergo gentle bâtonnages, but no filtering or fining. If the year merits it, this cuvée will be bottled in July as a vintage. Then the bottles are then taken down into the coolness of our cellars, where the second fermentation and the maturation 'on laths' quietly take place. Each bottle is disgorged manually 6 months before being marketed. Tasting notes: JamesSuckling.com, October 2017: Les Chemins d’Avize 2010 || 98 points - A single 0.7ha plot in Avize, this has very assertive citrus and dried peach edge with strong chalky minerals. Extremely vibrant. The palate has richness of fruit with white peach and apricot flavors. Sturdy structure supports ripe and concentrated fruit. Grape maturity is expressed at an elite level here – a gift of the terroir and its interpreters. The acidity is striking, driving a deep, sorbet-like finish. Drink now. WineAdvocate/Robert Parker - September 2020 || 96 points - Disgorged in October 2019, Larmandier-Bernier's 2013 Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Les Chemins d'Avize is showing brilliantly, unfurling in the glass with a lovely nose of citrus oil, fresh apricot, peach and pear, complemented by hints of fresh walnuts and almond paste. Full-bodied, deep and vinous, it's layered and elegantly muscular, with a concentrated core of ripe fruit, racy acids and a long, mineral finish. Pierre Larmandier invariably excels in cool, late growing seasons, so the 2013 vintage was perfectly adapted to his talents. The Champagne Guide - Tyson Stelzer, 2014-2015: LES CHEMINS D'AVIZE Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 2009 : Disgorged on the spot without dosage, hence is unscored, but worthy of at least 95 points.

100% ChardonnayDosage 2g/lFrom Cramant (Grand Cru)Aged in wooden barrels for 9 monthsBottle aging: At least 5 yearsOld vinesNicola FEB24: Minimal sherry notes, mature, with a finish of salted caramel.Moritz FEB24: Despite its beautiful maturity (slight oxidative notes), the Cuvée Constantin seems quite austere. There are aromas of wet stones, citrus fruits, but also white almonds and salted caramel. On the palate, the aromas from the nose seem a little more tart due to the acidity. The long finish leaves a beautifully chalky/mineral aftertaste, which gives the champagne even more grip and length.Nicola JUN22: Perhaps the chalkiest, most mineral of the range, but again with that beautiful ripe fruit note. Exciting, mildly spicy, complex tone. On the third day: racy, spicy notes, strong character with enormous drinkability.

But this cuvée is simply amazing. It captivates you with its laser-sharp polish, yet it has such a wide range of aromas that it is not sparse. Then there is a minute-long finish. Unique! It's still a bit young at the moment and will continue to improve, but even now, as I said, it's absolutely impressive.
