Antoine Grethen’s champagnes are characterised by expressive, mouth-filling aromas: intense, yet soft. He favours increased contact with oxygen during oak barrel ageing and minimises the addition of sulphur. Here, the red grape varieties Meunier and Pinot Noir set the tone.
Florent and Julien, on the Côte des Blancs, rely entirely on Chardonnay: salinity, tension, minerality and freshness are the defining characteristics here.
The contrast between these two young winemakers impressively demonstrates just how exciting these adventures can be!
