Nicola FEB24: Ultra-complex, vibrant fruit, very strong energy, such lightness and finesse, there's hardly a better rosé out there. Moritz FEB24: Complex and radiant. Cooked strawberry, strawberry leaf, and earthy umami notes offer an extremely diverse taste experience. The acidity almost dances across the tongue with a lightness that is invigorating. The finish seems endless. A rosé champagne for those who have dismissed rosé as trivial and are open to being pleasantly surprised.

100% Pinot Meunier from the oldest vines Dosage 1.5g/l brown limestone & clay no herbicides, no insecticides 50% used barrique (from the own forest) & 50% amphora over 11 monthsno malo / filtration / fining Causica comes from the oldest Meunier vines of the Lointiers. Half of the wine was aged in used barriques whose wood came from their own forest. The other half aged for eleven months in amphora. No malolactic fermentation, no fining, no filtration. The yeast aging on the bottle is at least 22 months. The name Causica derives from a subspecies of honeybee that has a special hairiness - similar to the leaves of Pinot Meunier. Causica smells invitingly of cookie and peach cream, with an exciting smoky undercurrent to everything. The palate shows plenty of structure as well as a fine red berry quality that lingers long on the grippy finish.

Prévost produced a rosé champagne for the first time in the 2007 vintage. This was made with red wine from a small section of Les Béguines that is affected with court-noué, which stunts the flowering and concentrates the juice in the small quantity of grapes that remain. Only 2,800 bottles were made in this inaugural vintage, and the wine was released at the end of 2009. The rosé, called Fac-simile, is based on the same wine as the blanc, yet the addition of red wine changes its character dramatically, making for a fascinating comparison.
