Néret-Vély

The vibrant labels of Néret-Vély symbolically depict life on the family farm. In addition to the vineyards, the family also runs a farm. This is located somewhat away from the Champagne vineyards in Vauchamps, while the vineyards are in Festigny on the left side of the Marne Valley. Since 1945, Néret-Vély has been tending to the now 7 hectares, which are mainly planted with Meunier, followed by some Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

The declared goal is to increase biodiversity on their own land. The winery uses organic practices, sowing seeds to protect the soil from erosion and planting trees in the vineyards to encourage birds and insects to settle there. The soil is plowed with horses to prevent compaction and maintain good water supply.
The base wines ferment spontaneously and are aged in steel tanks, wooden barrels, and amphorae. The bottles age on the lees for at least 24 months and are released for sale no earlier than four months after disgorging.

Thanks to the rich clay soils and the Meunier grape variety, Néret-Vély champagnes are beautifully balanced between fruit and structure and characterized by a wonderful softness that makes them irresistibly drinkable.
