Olivier et Didier Gimonnet: With this vintage we want to show the importance of the terroir without artifice. It is a cuvée for purists who like the minerality of the Côte des Blancs terroirs. Our first cuvée "non dosé" was created in 1985. We were pioneers of "Brut Nature".
We do not develop a special blend for this cuvée. Every year we taste all vintage cuvées. If one of them is naturally perfectly balanced, we decide to sell it without a dosage.
100% Pinot Noir
Dosage: 6g/l
Ages in barrel for 6 months and 10-13 years of bottel maturity
The Annonciade bottling is an hommage to an ancestor of the Bara family. In 1833, Annonciade, daughter of a winemaker from Bouzy, married Auguste François Bara, a young cooper from a neighboring village. Jules Bara, their son, constructed the first cellar at Champagne Paul Bara. This cuvée symbolizes the perfect marriage between vigneronne and cooper.
In tribute to the origins of our house this wine is the result of the union of two families and two grape varieties. The Pinot Noirs of Maison Delespierre combine with Chardonnays from Maison Bertrand to offer this cuvée as powerful as refined in its vintage version.
