Some of the most famous individual vineyards of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ are located on the Montgruguet hill, including Sous le Mont, known from Anselme Selosse, and the famous Clos des Goisses by Philipponnat.
Pouillons "Le Montgruguet" comes from a parcel above Les Goisses, where soil was once eroded and a chalk island was left on the banks of the Marne.
2016 was the debut of this cuvée, from the two micro-plots La Croix Blanche and Varille. Future vintages should also include the individual vineyards Lieux dits Marolles and Sente des Demoiselles.
Matured for 8 months in neutral wooden barrels
With malolactic fermentation
