The Dufour family is the fifth generation of winegrowers and has some excellent locations on the Côte des Bar. Charles is the latest generation and has decided to vinify his own champagne under the name "Bulles de Comptoir".

 

The grapes for his cuvée come from a total of 6 vineyards around the municipality of Landreville in the Côte des Bar in the Aube department, approx. 120 km southwest of the Marne valley. The temperatures are noticeably milder here than in the cultivation areas around the Marne. The soil also differs significantly: loam and limestone are predominant here. Thanks to the mild climate and the soil, powerful champagne is created. His mother Francoise Martinot was the driving force to go organic, she still processes a few layers herself. From these grapes, produced with a lot of love and experience, Charles produces the Bistrotage champagne with his philosophy.
