BÉRÈCHE ET FILS
"With passion and dedication, we strive to offer you perfect champagnes that best reflect the character of the area".
This is the principle and the ambition of the brothers Raphael and Vincent Béreche, who together with their father Jean-Pierre manage the 9 hectare family winery in the Montagne de Reims.
Bérèche champagne is characterized above all by its strength of character and the resulting recognizability.
Natural viticulture is important: since 2004, for example, synthetic herbicides have been completely dispensed with, greenery grows between the vines and some of the vineyards are even tended according to biodynamic guidelines. The vineyards are planted almost equally with the three main grape varieties and up to three quarters of the wines in the cellar are matured in wood.
In addition, the bottles are more and more often closed with natural instead of crown corks for fermentation - a labor-intensive and time-consuming process which makes the champagne creamier and finer.
This brings complex, balanced and, due to the avoidance of malolactic fermentation, extremely well-structured and invigorating fresh champagne to the bottle, which gain in depth and character from year to year - experience meets new ideas and bundled knowledge.
Traditional handicraft in a modern guise.
