Peter Liem: Godmé’s vintage brut varies in composition according to the vintage, but it’s often made with a majority of chardonnay, even though it comes exclusively from Verzenay and Verzy. About half of it is aged in wood, and it’s a highly terroir-expressive wine, demonstrating the intensely vinous personalities of these renowned grand cru sites.
