Data collection and use - personal data
In principle, you can visit our website without providing any personal information. We only collect personal data if you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order, when contacting us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail) or when opening a customer account. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms.
The processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO with your consent. We use the data provided by you for the purpose of processing the contract and handling your inquiries. After complete processing of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted after expiry of the retention periods under tax and commercial law, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use data beyond this, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you below.
You may revoke your consent at any time by notifying us, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation. A revocation can be made either by sending a message to the contact option described above or via a function provided for this purpose in the customer account.
About the use of your data in detail:
- Customer account
When opening a customer account, we collect your personal data to the extent specified there. The data processing serves the purpose of improving your shopping experience and simplifying order processing. The processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO with your consent. If you register for our newsletter, we use the data required for this purpose or separately provided by you to regularly send you our e-mail newsletter in accordance with your consent. The cancellation of your customer account is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact option described above or via a link provided for this purpose in the customer account. Your customer account will then be deleted.
- Contact form
If you send us inquiries via contact form, your data from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore based exclusively on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a DSGVO.
The data you entered in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after we have completed processing your request).
For the revocation of consent or the request to delete your data, your informal message to the contact option described above is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation as well as mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.
- E-mail newsletter
For the registration to our newsletter we use the so-called double-opt-in procedure. This means that after your registration, we will send you an e-mail to the e-mail address you provided, in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm your subscription within 12 hours, your information will be blocked and automatically deleted after one month. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the following data, which is required for this purpose or which you have provided separately, to send you our e-mail newsletter on a regular basis in accordance with your consent:
- E-mail address (mandatory field)
- Name, first name (optional)
- IP address of the calling computer
- Date and time of registration
We use your e-mail address independently of the contract processing. In addition, we store your IP addresses used in each case and the times of registration and confirmation. Unsubscribing from the newsletter is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact option described above or via a link provided for this purpose in the newsletter. Your e-mail address will then be removed from the distribution list.

The provision of your date of birth is voluntary and not a condition for the conclusion of a contract. You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below.
Transfer of data
We do not transfer your personal data to third parties for purposes other than those listed below. We will only pass on your personal data to third parties if:

Use of Google (Universal) Analytics
For the purpose of demand-oriented design and continuous optimization of our pages, we use Google Analytics. This is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (https://www.google.de/intl/de/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter "Google"). In this context, pseudonymized usage profiles are created and cookies are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website such as
- Browser type/version,
- operating system used,
- Referrer URL (the previously visited page),
- host name of the accessing computer (IP address),
- time of the server request,
are transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide other services related to website and Internet use for the purposes of market research and to tailor the design of these web pages to meet user needs. This information may also be transferred to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on our behalf. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with other Google data. The IP addresses are anonymized so that an assignment is not possible (so-called IP masking).
As an alternative to the browser plugin, you can click this link to prevent the collection by Google Analytics on this website in the future. This will place an opt-out cookie on your terminal device. If you delete your cookies, you must click the link again.
Use of social plugins
So-called social plugins ("plugins") of social networks are used on our website. These services are offered by companies such as Facebook Inc, Google Inc and Instagram LLC ("providers").
When you access a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the respective servers of the providers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly to your browser and integrated into the page. By integrating the plugins, the providers receive the information that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile or are not currently logged in. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly to a server of the respective provider in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to one of the services, the providers can directly assign the visit to our website to your respective profile. If you interact with the plugins, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the providers and stored there. The information is also published on your respective accounts in the social networks and displayed there to your contacts.
If you do not want the following social networks to directly assign the data collected via our website to your profile in the respective service, you must log out of the corresponding service before visiting our website. You can also completely prevent the loading of the plugins with add-ons for your browser, e.g. with the script blocker "NoScript" (https://noscript.net/).
Among the plugins of the social networks used by us in detail:
Plugins of the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA, are integrated on our pages. You can recognize the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the "Like button" ("Like") on our page. You can find an overview of the Facebook plugins here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
When you visit our pages, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook server via the plugin. Facebook thereby receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click the Facebook "Like" button while logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of our pages on your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate the visit to our pages with your user account. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook.
If you do not want Facebook to be able to associate your visit to our pages with your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.
On our pages, functions of the service Instagram are integrated. These functions are offered by Instagram Inc, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA ("Instagram") integrated. If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can link the content of our pages to your Instagram profile by clicking on the Instagram button. This allows Instagram to assign the visit to our pages to your user account. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Instagram.
If you do not want Twitter to assign the data collected via our website directly to your Twitter account, you must log out of Twitter before visiting our website. You can also completely prevent the loading of Twitter plugins with add-ons for your browser, e.g. with the script blocker "NoScript" (http://noscript.net/).
- Google Maps
On this website we use the offer of Google Maps. This allows us to display interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to use the map function.
By visiting the website, Google receives the information that you have called up the corresponding sub-page of our website. In addition, the data mentioned under point 1. in this statement are transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether there is no user account. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly assigned to your account. If you do not want the assignment with your profile at Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for purposes of advertising, or needs-based design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise this right.
